BOMP is a new party and at a new location other than First Ave. We teamed up with everyone involved in most of the VIP nights at first ave from Get Cryphy to Street Sounds and decided to start a party every last Friday of the month. Tomorrow is the first one! It gives you something to do on Friday and mixes up all kind of music that you wouldn’t normally hear in one night.
Remember all those Chris Rock and E.T. phone home and call collect commercials? Not together, because they pretty much both look the same except one has way too many teeth and the other has none.
Cumbia dance is pretty much like salsa dance except it’s from left-to-right.
And usually Peruvian anything is good. Like when “your bro” goes… “Hey dude this shit’s from Peru!” You go “WHOAAA!” Then it’s a consensus that that shit is good. Whatever it may be.

Critically hated Paul McCartney’s album, McCartney II never received the respect it truly deserved. I was recently turned on to it by my friend Jesse who you may know and I’ll save the irony as, FRIEND. Nowadays the hatred only adds to the appeal of his release… and to be honest Paul McCartney probably didn’t really give a shit anyway because he was financially content. Coming back to the album today and with the state of music right now this is something I can really get into. We all remember the Radioslave remix of Temporary Secretary but with other tracks on the album like Darkroom, Frozen Jap, Check My Machine, Secret Friend, and Blue Sway you truly get a sense of how great of a musician he really was. So here’s to you Paul McCartney! Thanks for influencing so many bands we all appreciate today.
Nottee is the musical project from one of the members of Lo-Fi-Fnk’s sister. She has a comment from Ewan Pearson and Ryan Leslie in her top friends on myspace… She also has this phenomenal track, Control. PIANO BIG IN 09. Get into it!
Big thanks to Citypages for catching some photos last Friday. I was real bummed our photo intern couldn’t make it to this Honeymoon. If you’re interested in shooting photos for us please send an e-mail! We are always looking for help and we offer compensation .
Thanks to everyone that came out and partied like it was the 90s. I will post the winner of the best dressed this week as well as some (not guaranteed to be good) photos I took.
Huge thanks to Vita.mn for helping us bring one of our really good friends, Max Pask out and kudos to Red Bull for the drink specials! Wooo
This guy is sooo hot. My mom said Italians have small penises though, and to watch out for them. I’m pretty sure I would only need to hear this guy’s voice to get pregnant from him.
The whole album “…Balla”
It’s all hot disco bass, drifty back vocals. Who knows what he’s saying. It could be very disrespectful or egotistical, but since I’m egotistical and disrespectful, I imagine that he’s saying just sweet sexy things to me.
Oops forgot to upload the photos from January 2nd’s HOTEL with Sexbotz and Jonathan A. Props to Alex for the photos! He will be at Honeymoon this Friday so be sure to dress up in dat 90s flava.
Check out the Hotel photos above (partay photoz link)!
“Pen and Pixel are famous for their identifiable design vernacular of 3-D and effects-laden text, bracketing heavily layered and photoshop filtered graphics. These typically overlay a scene depicting the album artist ostentatiously surrounded by women, liquor, gold- and diamond-coated material affects, and other signifiers of a gangster lifestyle.” -Wiki”
