Thanks to everyone that came out last night to NYE. It was an incredible time. Andy Butler dropped soooo many chunes. It was great to see everyone dancing and bringing in 2009.
I took some photos but not too many. I’m going to try my best over the rest of the week/weekend to direct you to where most of the photos are living on the internet as well as upload the ones I took. In the meantime independent graphic studio, Experimental Jetset updated their website with some awesome work. Be sure to check ittttttttt.

Alan Licht - The Old Victrola (Midnight Energy Edit)
The Old Victrola is a 40-minute noise piece, recorded live, in which Alan Licht loops the sustained vocal note from the bridge of “Dim All The Lights” by Donna Summer and plays guitar over it. Here’s a cliff’s notes version you can play in DJ sets. If you play this to a crowded room, you are either a genius or a moron, but either way, you’re my hero. <3

Here:
This is a track by Patrice Baumel called “Roar”. It is pretty cool but it’s like tech house or something, which in European means that it was made by dudes who are too cool to have a regular 4/4 bass drum under it. I read an interview with DJ Koze where he says he thinks 4/4 bass drums are lame, and tracks that have a 4/4 bass drum right away are for shitty DJs with no imagination. Yo DJ Koze, you gots my number, because I just totally put a 4/4 bass drum under this track.
If you’ve heard this track and tried to mix it into a house track it sounds like absolute shit most of the time. Now you won’t have that problem. Enjoy!

I’m not religious but I like Christmas.
Money and presents are a greattttt end to this mouth-faced month I’d say. Like honestly, if the first couple weeks were a person, I would probably have said some classy one-liners and give’r the ol’ 1-2-3-4-5.
Food and alcohol and sly side glances and strangers and fwendship and coffee and smoking and drugs and music patched it right up though. Maybe that stuff can solve this GiAnT EcOnOmIcAl CrIsIs. Cheap thrills huh. Woman drivers huh?

ANyways.
Here’s some music to patch up your possibly damaged lives. I’ll go around the table.
Brown Suga - Baby Daddy
“You’re this far away from child support.”
My mom used to threaten my dad with the sammeeee thing. For real though…. :S
Ahemmmm
Nina Hagen - Lorelei
Nina hagen’s so cool because it’s like she’s trying to sound evil. The whole album Fearless was suuuper cool. Is she from outer-space? Is she from hell?
Look at this nut.

Amanda Lear - Enigma (Give a bit of mmh to me)

Utomjordiska Mustaschmannen - Databasreligon
I made a nerd section in the video store I work at. The movies in it are not like smart, clever or mind-blowing movies or anything. They’re just like movies with people wearing glasses or goggles on the cover of them.
That’s why I like my job.

Ok. Also.
Toxic Love? Fern Gully? Tim Curry?
Whhoops
Also like this is like the full version so there’s like this weird part in it where he’s talking about how pollution makes him horny. Gross.

P.S. I’m pretty excited for New Years Eve. Hercules and Love affair, Solid Gold, and who else but my boys the MoonGoons. I just bought my tickets the other day on the vital website.
Two-thousand-nine, I’m gonna make you my valentine. Get you drunk off my cheap perfume. Hey my friend wants to know if you have a brother.
See you therrrrrrrre <3

Alex Uncapher delivered the Hobo photos from last Friday. These ones are especially sick looking for some reason. Here he is being a complete P-I-M-P. Thanks to everyone that came out and helped support our party. We are trying each month to make it something special for you so it means a lot when people go all out and come party. That sounded like a repeat sentence…?
Click here to see more photos. Also we are still deciding between two people for the winner of the VS. Social Standard gift! It is a tough choice.

To get in to Honeymoon FREE this Friday there are a few things you can do. The first is to come before 11PM. The doors open up at 10PM so if you show up the first hour you’re in on us. The second way is changing your default picture and name like this with the new flyer. The third way is entering the Vita.mn ticket giveaway on their website here.
If you don’t care for free then RSVP or bring a canned good and you’re in for $3.00. Otherwise it’s $8!
